In 1998 JJM joined a group of producers who were interested in the new musical trends and they formed PYB (Plug Your Brain). Paolo Favati reconstituted the Dune Records preparing the ground for the creation of a label with an overground approach which tended to stimulate a high-quality composing sensibility. Dune developped its interests in the international artistic production. This is why it opened a branch in the United States, in the heart of New York. Its great attention towards the international market is reflected by its cast which is composed of groups with different artistic and geographical origins. Following the opposite trend of many other labels, Dune gathers different stylistic experiences, from breakbeat to electro house, from trip hop to alternative rock. It is a new production policy where the importance of the artistic project overcomes the boundaries of genre.
